6 Important Roles Of A Bridesmaid

Bridesmaids are there for a reason. They are your closest friends that know you very well. Bridesmaids will take the load off you on your wedding day and it's best if you assign roles to them from the beginning.

1. HELP YOU STAY ON TRACK

It's a busy day and staying on track is very important. Especially at the beginning of the day. Your bridesmaids should be aware of the timeline. Knowing when they should be ready for you to put on your dress is what I'm talking about.

2. TAKE CARE OF PHONE CALLS

Suppliers will be the ones calling for directions. Uncles and aunts worried about the ceremony time. Best man wondering about the button holes etc. That load and worry should be off your shoulders by assigning that responsibility on to your bridesmaids.

3. HELP YOU WITH YOUR DRESS

Keeping an eye on the dress in the church when you stand up and sit back down. During your photoshoots, puffing it out. Taking care about the flowers while you're walking and holding the dress. Pinning it up before you go in for dinner.

4. HELP YOU WITH YOUR MAKE UP

Your bridesmaids will always be watching your lips and your eyes. Topping up your lipstick and fixing a smudged mascara.

5. HELP YOU WITH YOUR VEIL

One or two of the bridesmaids should be educated on how to take off the veil. Your hairdo should stay in tact in the process of taking it off. It's something you cannot do alone.

6. HELP WITH ORGANISING FAMILY PHOTOS

Your bridesmaids should know both sides of the family. When it comes to family photographs, they will be the ones helping to get them all in one room. Show them your list of desired family members you want in your photos before the wedding day. This way they can be prepared and know who they need to assemble.
